Chipmunk on the rocks at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, 2008. Numerous chipmunks ran across the rocks on the other side of the parking lot, scouring for dropped food from tourists. Once described by a friend as “might actually be the cutest picture of an animal that any human being has ever captured.”
